 LATEST NEWS

Well it's been almost 4 months since Terry went in to hospital for his operation and The Revival Band would like to give special thanks to John "Spud" Spurling for standing in on many occasions.  John, I hope you have enjoyed your time with us as much as we have enjoyed your company and talents on the bass guitar (even if you are left handed!) in addition to your vocal talents.  John and Bob will be joining us for the next couple of gigs while Terry eases himself back to full fitness and we all look forward to performing with you both in the future.

Well I thought it was time for an update - seems like ages since we played at Rayleigh Town Sports Club, but on Saturday 26 January, The Revival Band enjoyed yet another great night entertaining the audience.  Chris (our drummer) was celebrating his 55th (whoops 45th) birthday and we were joined by our "groupies" from Cherry Red who provided the customary Birthday cake!  Special thanks once again to Bob "the base" Simmons for standing in whilst Terry is still recovering from his operation.

Another fantastic night at Wickford Railway Club on 3 November 2007.  The Revival Band looks forward to entertaining you again in the new year.  Happy Birthday to one of the guests, Ian, who was celebrating his birthday (although he wouldn't say which one!).

Last but not least, a special thanks to Bob "the base" Simmons who stood in for us whilst Terry is recovering from his operation in hospital.

27 October 2007 saw the Revival Band playing at Tyrells Hall, Grays (one of our regular venues) after a hard day's graft at No Recording Studios, Rayleigh.

Trev would like to give special thanks to Vicki for the last dance (sorry he made you cry!)  You were a great crowd - thanks for a great night - we really enjoyed playing for you and look forward to seeing you again in the new year.

So that's now three solid days at No Recording Studios working on our first CD in our current line up.  Special thanks to John Hannon the sound engineer for all his hard work and patience!

15 November 2008 has it really been over a year since I last updated this page!  Sorry to everyone who has been nagging me for an update - I promise to give you more news in the future, but in the meantime, come along to the Ambleside Social Club next Saturday and find out what we are up to in person!

Please watch this page for further updates and reviews in the near future.
